Buckeyes In Finley's Future?

Detroit Cass Tech offensive tackle visited Ohio State Friday, one week after being offered by the Buckeye staff. Although he did not work out, Finley spent a considerable amount of time with head coach Urban Meyer.

Dennis Finley did not work out at Ohio State Friday, preferring to spend time watching two of his younger teammates in action, and visiting with Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer.

Finley, 6-foot-7, 305-pounds, was offered by Ohio State last week, following his workout in Detroit in front of the Buckeye staff.

"It was great being around the Ohio State coaches, and it was nice to see the facilities they have," Finley stated. "I spent time with Coach Meyer and it was very cool speaking with him. He told me he watched a lot of my film, and he liked the way I can move my feet."

"Coach Meyer said he wants me here really bad, and that meant a lot to me," he added. "Ohio State really moved up for me after this visit. They didn't pressure me to commit at all, but they let me know they want me. I liked that a lot."

As a player that is really starting to blow up nationally, Finley is in no hurry to make a decision.

"I'm hoping to make my decision during my season some time," he continued. "I want to take visits this fall and take my time, so I make the right decision. I want to win another state title at Cass, and that comes first to me. I know the recruiting stuff will take care of itself."

Finley currently holds offers from the likes of Illinois, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and others. Scout.com will continue to track Finley's recruitment over the coming months.
