O'Fallon DB Commits To Illinois

The Fighting Illini football team received more good news today with the announcement O'Fallon defensive back Darius Mosely has committed to the program. Playing with Team USA in Texas, Mosely chose today to announce because it is his uniform number. His decision now gives the Illini 13 commits for the 2013 class.

Darius Mosely, a three-star defensive back from O'Fallon, committed to Illinois today. He chose the Illini over offers from Vanderbilt, Michigan State, Iowa and Arizona State.

Mosely's coach Brandon Joggerst lauds his talented athlete.

"Darius Mosely is not only a high quality player, but he is a high quality person. He has tremendous grades and is a true definition of a leader on and off the field."

Joggerst shares the 5'-10", 180 pounder's skills as a football player.

"Describing his ability in one word would be 'playmaker.' He has a tremendous knack for the ball on defense. He has great balls skills and great change of direction. He could be successful on either side of the ball, but he will be used at cornerback."

Mosely's work ethic and dedication to his craft should pay off early in his college career.

"He is very receptive to coaching and is always trying to improve and not be satisfied. He will have a chance to have an early impact in college."

Mosely is the 13th known commitment for the Illini with more than six months to go before Signing Day.
