Lamar Robbins Is A Wanted Man

2013 wide receiver and cornerback Lamar Robbins had quite the big spring. The Miami Southridge (Miami, FL) athlete started spring off with zero offers, and now he has about thirty-five. Get the latest on Robbins here.

Lamar Robbins has had quite a busy few weeks since school got out. He's traveled to several schools all around the country and performed in many camps. Out of all he's seen and done this summer, he said he's enjoyed the recruiting process more than anything.

"(I've enjoyed) the recruiting process. It's my first time ever going through the recruiting process, my offers started to kick in towards the end of my eleventh grade year," Robbins said.

"My coaches always told me that it was coming, so when offers come to not be surprised and to just keep my calm."

Robbins is being recruited by some schools as a wide receiver, some as a corner, and some as both. While he admits he has no leaders right now, there are a few schools he keeps regular contact with.

"I like all of them, I don't want to single anybody out, but right now I stay in touch a lot with West Virginia, Oklahoma, Virginia, Georgia Tech, FIU, South Florida, UCF, schools like that," he said.

Robbins still isn't too sure about when a decision might be coming, but he definitely wants to visit as many campuses as possible in the meantime.

"The biggest factor is probably the environment. If it feels like home," he said.

"If it's only exciting during football season, then after football season I feel like I don't want to be there, then that's not the place for me."

Robbins also mentioned that he and his teammate Jamal Carter may stick together at the next level.
