"I had a good trip," said the 6-foot-2, 235-pound linebacker/defensive end. "Overall, it was the best visit I have taken."
There were some things that really stuck out to Neal about the visit.
"The coaches are just so cool," he said. "They set up two whole days just for me. Coach (Les) Miles talked about life, religion, and just everything. Then he told me that my scholarship was going to be there and that I don't need to rush my decision. That let me know that he really wanted me."
"I also like the fact that I would be able to walk everywhere," said Neal. "Everything I need is close together."
This weekend, Neal will take what will likely be his last visit before he makes his decision.
"I am going to Tennessee this weekend," he said. "I am ready to go up there and see what coach (Sal) Sunseri has been talking about. He said he was ready to see me."
Neal said he does not plan to release a final list of schools and that the next step for him will be making a verbal commitment. Along with LSU and Tennessee, he said North Carolina and Ohio State are also recruiting him very hard. Neal said he was leaning towards making a decision next week -- possibly on July 4.
