One last trip this summer

The offensive line position for the Nebraska in upcoming 2012-2013 class is critical. There is already one commitment in the class and the Huskers are looking for several others particularly at the tackle position. One of the top tackles on their board that Nebraska fans have been following is Kenny Lacy from Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe.

Kenny Lacy is a four-star recruit and is recognized as the No. 17 offensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com. He has had a busy summer, but the offensive lineman from Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe says that he has his last trip coming up this week.

"I will be going to USC this week," Lacy said. "I will be doing a camp while I am there and that will probably be my last trip for the summer."

While the trips will be ending that doesn't mean that Lacy will be taking the rest of the summer off. It's really a sign that the real work is about to begin. Lacy says that there are workouts with the team and he trains with a line coach on top of that.

"I am working out with my team and then I am also training with a coach, a lineman coach, out here. I am just working on my steps and stuff like that.

"I really wanted to focus on my flexibility, my ankles and hips. I have been working on those things a lot. I am also working on my punch on my pass set."

Nebraska fans are excited to see that Lacy's name already appears as an official visitor this fall. Lacy says that he wants to see a few key things when he's in town that weekend.

"Yes, I am set to see Nebraska for the Wisconsin game. I want to see what they have to offer, see how the players interact with each other and see the facilities. I hear the facilities are amazing."
