Chicago De La Salle (Ill.) class of 2014 running back Mikale Wilbon's first offer is one from the Big Ten.
Chicago De La Salle running back Mikale Wilbon
is a speedy, explosive back who has now turned a big sophomore season into his first scholarship offer.
"I got my first offer from Purdue," the 5'9, 190-lb back said on Monday. "I'm really excited and humble at the same time. It's very overwhelming."
Wilbon camped at several places including Ohio State and Michigan State. He did not stop at Purdue, but has built a good relationship with the Boilermaker staff.
"I just was talking to Coach Maurice. He's really cool. He told me congrats and to consider Purdue because he knows that more offers are coming."
Next up for Wilbon is simply to prepare for the fall season.
"I am done going to camps [for this summer]," he said.
