Visits coming up for Florida DB

Troy McCollum is a standout cornerback prospect from North Miami High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

"I'm going up on a college tour. We're going to LSU for camp, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida State and we're also visiting Ole Miss, Kentucky, Marshall, and I think Mississippi State," Troy McCollum said. "We're leaving Thursday and coming back on the 19th."

While he's still waiting on offers from the schools he's camping with, a few of the others already have done so.

"Of the ones I'm visiting, Kentucky hasn't offered me yet but I've been talking to their coach."

McCollum believes LSU is the most interested of the schools he's camping with.

"I heard LSU really wants me to come to their camp. My coach told me I'm one of the top cornerback prospects they're looking at."

The talented cornerback prospect has already camped at Miami and attempted one at Florida State.

"At UM, they said they'd let me know about offering but I never heard back from them. They said they were having a meeting but I never heard back. I went to the Al Golden Camp and Florida State camp. At FSU, I injured my hamstring so Eddie Gran told me to come back to their second camp in July so I'm going back there."

McCollum has over a dozen offers and has a list of five favorites for right now.

"I have 16 offers now. I really like FIU, Ole Miss, UCF, Illinois, and South Florida. If other schools offer me I could change it."
