Virginia OLB Well-Traveled

Monacan High (Richmond, Va.) outside linebacker Connor Wingo-Reeves has been on the road for much of the summer. Wingo-Reeves is hoping that the trips will help him land scholarship offers in the near future.

By the time the summer ends, Connor Wingo-Reeves will have probably traveled more than many other prospects in the 2013 class. It is highly possible that he could attend close to double-digit college camps by the end of July. While some may have gotten tired of all the traveling, the Virginia linebacker has enjoyed the experience.

"I like seeing the different campuses and getting a feel for all the schools – It's been fun," said Wingo-Reeves.

Although the talented linebacker has already been to several schools, he still has a few more camps to attend.

"I just got back from Boston College," he said. "I was there for the overnight camp. Then I also went to UConn last week. I get a few weeks off and then I will probably go to Virginia Tech on (July) 14, Virginia on (July) 21, and Temple on (July) 28. Earlier this summer, I camped at Texas, ECU, Maryland, and Miami."

Wingo-Reeves already holds offers from Navy and William & Mary. However, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect believes other schools could be close to pulling the trigger

"I feel like I have a pretty good shot at getting an offer from UConn, maybe here in the next month, or maybe sometime in September," Wingo-Reeves said. "Then if I have a good camp at Temple, I think they might offer. Right now, I feel like those are two schools that are closest to offering."

One visit really impressed the Monacan star.

"I really liked Boston College," he said. "Their campus really stood out to me. I just really liked the campus and the feeling I got while I was there."

Wingo-Reeves does not have a timetable for his recruitment.

"Right now, I don't have a timeframe," he stated. "I am just going to finish up these camps and see where I am, before narrowing my list of schools. But if offers come in, I would probably make a decision before Signing Day. It all just depends on who offers."

For now, Wingo-Reeves is focused on his senior season.

"I definitely want to help take the team to the playoffs," Wingo-Reeves said. "I also want to be all-state"

Wingo-Reeves bench presses 265, squats 430, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.73 seconds.
