Ander Bodkin (Marianna, Fla.) is one of a handful of Sunshine State recruits that should blow up this fall. Bodkin, 6-foot-5 and 275-pounds, is a very athletic offensive line prospect. As a freshman he played guard and last season he played tackle. During this off-season he played wide receiver and tight end for his high school 7-on-7 team.
"Some schools like me as a guard and others a tackle," Bodkin said. "I know I can play both very well. This season I will play a lot at tight end."
Florida International was the first school to offer Bodkin. Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Jacksonville, Kentucky and South Florida have all offered him as well. Meanwhile, teams like Florida State, Auburn, South Carolina and Georgia could all be very close.
"I camped at USF (Super Bull) and Florida State," Bodkin said. "They both went very well. I think FSU really liked me. I am waiting to hear back from them and being patient. I want to see where I stand.
"I know Florida and Auburn want to see me in person. I am going to Georgia for Dawg Night later this month and I will try and camp at Friday Night Lights at Florida and maybe Auburn too. South Carolina is another school I like but they are filled up at my position. We are still talking. Hopefully, they will take another guy or two on the line."
Does Bodkin have a school favorite at this point?
"I don't," Bodkin said. "I am open and wait to see where I stand with all of these other colleges."
