Moore Has Four Offers

Butler High (Matthews, N.C.) has already had four football players verbally committed to college programs. However, David Moore is a Bulldog with scholarship offers, who has yet to make his decision.

"Recruiting is starting to pick up," said David Moore. "I have offers from Concord, Liberty, Georgia State, and Ball State. I am also hearing from Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, and UNC-Charlotte. Out of all the schools, I would say that Ball State is recruiting me the hardest."

So who could be the next school to offer Moore?

"I think Eastern Michigan is close to offering," he said. "Running back coach Mike Hart has been messaging me on Facebook and we have been developing a relationship."

Although it is early, two schools are already on top for Butler cornerback.

"As of right now, I would have to say Georgia State and Ball State are my top two schools," he said

One coach recruiting Moore has really impressed him.

"I really like Coach Joey Lynch at Ball State," Moore said. "He is a down to earth guy and he talked to me up at Michigan's camp. He was told me that he really liked me."

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect is already thinking about potential visits this fall.

"I am definitely going to go to Ball State," he said. "I also want to go watch a game at Eastern Michigan. I would like to take official visits to Georgia State and Ball State."

For now, Moore will turn his focus to his senior season.

"As a team, we want to go undefeated in conference –get back to the state championship –and win it," he said. "Individually, I want to have eight interceptions and get back to 100 tackles."

Last season, Moore had five interceptions, 15 pass breakups, 101 tackles, and one defensive touchdown. He bench presses 225 pounds, squats 410, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds.
