"I just fell in love with UCLA on my visit," Morris said. "I already liked the school a lot and had a good relationship with Coach Klemm, the OL coach. I knew about the depth chart and the opportunity to play early there. I heard about the weather, all those good things but it wasn't until I got there and saw the campus that I was totally sold.
"I can't even explain how nice it is there. That's just an amazing place, one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen. The people were great with me, everyone was so friendly and respectful and I definitely got a real sense of family and that's what I was looking for. Overall, UCLA is just the perfect fit for me and I'm excited to be a Bruin."
Morris said location never played a factor and he has no problem leaving home.
"I actually kind of wanted to get away from home and experience something new," Morris said. "I liked UT a lot but they filled up on lineman pretty early. I just wanted to find a place where I fit in and where I would be comfortable for the next four of five years of my life.
"I still plan to take my official visits and will definitely get out to UCLA and Nebraska. I'm looking to visit Arkansas as well but UCLA is where I'm comfortable and I feel really good about them right now. I think they're building something and I'm excited to be a part of it."
Morris had a very solid showing at The Opening and was named one of the top five offensive lineman in the event. He's a natural tackle prospect with a great frame and above average athleticism. He's a tough kid who likes to compete and once he hits a college weight room and gains more strength in his lower body and core, he has a chance to be a special player at the next level.
