2013 DT Chris Palmer is busy building muscle and momentum. The Collins Hill (GA) senior has earned the eyes of Houston, Southern Miss, UNC and Western Kentucky just this week.

"I think Houston is a really great school," Palmer said. "I've been training with one of their players this summer."

Collins Hill's trainer enlisted the help of a defensive lineman from Houston to work with the team. "I'd definitely consider playing at Houston now," Palmer said of his summer training.

On the east coast, North Carolina came knocking this week as well. "I would love to go to UNC. They have a good defense every year," Palmer said of the Tarheels. "I've never visited, but I plan to.

"I've been talking to North Carolina about coming to a couple of the games this fall to see how I like it."

Western Kentucky's interest peeked after Palmer's newly released highlight tape hit their desks. While Palmer expressed excitement to learn more about their potential interest, he admitted, "I don't know much about them. I'd definitely love to visit the school."

Closer to home, Southern Miss has exposed interest as well. "I've been there for a visit and it was nice," Palmer said of the school. "I was watching their practice during my sophomore year and it got short due to a storm. I really liked the campus, though."

As Palmer's recruitment continues to roll, he'll visit Jacksonville State University next week with his team. "They really like me," he said of the Gamecocks. "I'm hoping for an offer."
