2014 Intro: WR Greg Webb

2014 wide receiver Greg Webb is a key member of Gardena (CA) Serra's star-studded program. Look inside to learn more about the talented recruit.

Gardena (CA) Serra High School will certainly be one of the first stops on the recruiting trail next season with players like QB Jalen Greene, WR Greg Webb, WR Jordan Lasley, DB Adoree Jackson and LB Dwight Williams in the 2014 class.

Greg Webb will team up with Jordan Lasley to form what should be one of the most productive wide receiver duos in the region.

"I'm a physical receiver. If you throw the ball up, I'm going to get it," Webb said. "If you try to press me, I'm going to get off the press. I don't get jammed."

Serra has become a wide receiver factory in recent years, producing Robert Woods, Paul Richardson, Marqise Lee and George Farmer.

"It feels good to follow those guys," Webb said. "When you're a kid you're like I want to do this and do that, and when you actually start to do it, it feels good."

The star-studded group from Gardena has lofty goals for the coming season.

"Our goal is to go all the way. That's what we plan to do and that's what we're going to do."

Growing up, Webb says he enjoyed watching a trio of Pac-12 schools.

"I grew up watching USC, Cal, and Oregon," Webb explained. "I like the spread offense. I'm a big fan of the spread offense. Oregon's my favorite football team.

So what stands out about those three schools?

"Oregon, I've been watching them for a long time," Webb said. "I really like them because they run the spread and they like fast receivers.

"USC, they've got the pro-style offense, which is easy to get open out there. I like it. It's cool.

"Cal, Kennan Allen is my favorite wide receiver. I like him and Robert Woods."
