Harris Set for Big Dawg

McAdory High School has turned in out a pair of SEC signees in recent year with Matt Caddell and Marcus Jemison inking with Alabama and Auburn respectively. 2013 prospect Dezmond Harris hopes to follow in those same SEC footsteps come signing day.

"I have been to camp at Mississippi State and I am going back over there for Big Dawg camp," said Harris. "I am not going to work out because I am just getting over an achilles' injury.

"I have been getting a lot of interest from Middle Tennessee too.

"He says that he wants me to come up there for the offer, but I am not sure what that means."

Harris lines up behind center in high school, but he has the ability to help out at several positions including safety or linebacker.

"I feel like I could play either side of the ball," said the 6-3, 212 pounder. "I would like to stay on the offensive side of the ball if I could though."

Still waiting for his first offer, Harris has been working hard to get his team ready for the 2012 season.

"I feel like we have the talent to go 15-0," said Harris. "Everybody has been working hard and I have been really happy to see that my team wants to work out and work hard.

"Everybody has been working extra hard to be better than we were last year."
