"That's just where my heart is," Bouldin said of his decision. "I just couldn't see myself wearing anything but the red and blue. I think the future is bright with coach (Hugh) Freeze there now, and I want to be a part of it."
The Ole Miss coaches put the Rebels over the top for Fox Sports Next's No. 76 rated offensive tackle.
"Coach (Derrick) Nix, coach (Matt) Luke, and coach Freeze are like family to me. They let me know from day one that I was their guy, and they just stayed on me hard the whole time. Coach Nix and I are really close. He did a great job recruiting me. We relate with one another and know where each one is coming from. Their offensive line coach (Matt Luke) and I are also real close. I love how passionate he is and how much he loves Ole Miss. I think we're going to have a real good relationship at Ole Miss, and what else can I say about their coach Freeze? He comes from a strong religious background and preaches being a family. I smile just talking about coach Freeze."
Bouldin's visit to Ole Miss last Saturday sealed the deal.
"I came up there with Davion Johnson. It just feels like home up there. I love everything about Ole Miss. I just can't wait to get started. Our class is going to be a part of something special at Ole Miss. We're going to put Ole Miss back on the map."
Bouldin had nothing but good things to say about the program that came in second place, Mississippi State.
"I can't say enough good things about State. They showed me a lot of love too. Coach (Dan) Mullen is doing some great things up there. I really couldn't have gone wrong with either school, but I had to go with my heart. It'll be a lot of fun playing those guys, and I'm sure they'll want to get after us like we will them. MSU is a great school and their future is also bright."
Bouldin marks Ole Miss' 16th overall commitment and third Dandy Dozen selection out of Mississippi. He joins Johnson and QB Ryan Buchanan.
