Anderson Taking it Slow

Castle(IN) wide receiver Jon-Marc Anderson has picked up his first offer. Check out the latest from the rising senior.

5-foot-10, 165 pound rising senior Jon-Marc Anderson is seeing his recruitment heat up. The wide receiver holds one offer and has been hearing from even more schools.

"Butler is my first offer," said Anderson. "I've been hearing from Purdue, Western Kentucky, Western Illinois and Indiana."

The WR has also spent parts of this summer attending different camps and getting his name out.

"So far this summer I've camped at Western Kentucky, Indiana State, Purdue and Indiana. I want to show them that I'm as fast as my film shows and that I'm fundamentally sound."

When it comes to his commitment, Anderson doesn't want to rush the recruitment process.

"I'll probably commit at the end of the season. It just depends on what comes my way. I've been talking to Purdue and Western Illinois a lot lately, so we'll see what comes my way. When I am ready to decide, I'm looking at the academics, the environment, the coaching staff and their offense. I want a place that passes a lot."

For now, the rising senior is focusing on his high school season. Anderson recorded 48 receptions for 1104 yards and 11 touchdowns his junior season.
