6-foot-2, 244 pound defensive end Deshai Powell says that if he had to describe his game, it would mirror a certain New York Giant.
"I'm similar to Justin Tuck. His motor is unbelievable. He doesn't give up on plays and is very physical."
The rising senior is excited about taking his career to the next level. His first step is college, and so far he's collected two offers.
"I've picked up offers from Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan. I'm also hearing from Indiana, Western Kentucky and Northern Illinois."
Powell has also been busy hitting the camp circuit.
"I have gone to Toledo, Indiana and Western Michigan's camps. I want them to see that I'm a good defensive lineman that can use my hands."
As for his timetable, the DE plans on taking his time throughout the recruitment process so that he can find that place that best suits him.
"I'll probably commit at the end of the season. I do plan on taking some official visits first. The only place I know for sure I'll officially visit is Western Michigan. When it comes to picking a school I definitely want to stay kind of close to home. But the main thing I'll consider is the coaching staff."
