Greg Gilmore broke down his four frontrunners. "It's definitely LSU," he said when asked about a leader. "Their 4-2 scheme fits me the best out of any other school. Coach (John) Chavis and Coach (Brick) Haley are 'the duo.'
"I have the best relationship with Coach Haley. My mom likes LSU. I like LSU. I've been there a couple of times, and I can't find one thing wrong with LSU. The word of Coach (Les) Miles is good. If he says you're a good player, then you're a good player. I have high interest in LSU. Alabama and Florida are tied for second and then Clemson."
Gilmore gave serious thought about committing prior to his senior season, but said the chances of that happening diminish by the day.
"If I don't commit before the season, I'll definitely visit my top four schools," Gilmore said. "I'm still open to any team. I want to maximize my talent in college."
He spoke about Clemson, Florida and Alabama.
Clemson: "I like their coaching. Coach (Kevin) Steele is gone, so it will be different, but they have Coach (Brent) Venables. Clemson has probably the best ACC program. They're the team that could compete the best in the SEC."
Florida: "I love it down there. Their defense is great for (accumulating) film for the NFL Draft -- with the way they use you in the 4-3. Coach D.J. Durkin (LBs), Coach (Dan) Quinn and Coach (Bryant) Young all have NFL experience."
Alabama: "There's a lot to say about Alabama. I've been down there twice. I could play the 5-technique for them, and I could possibly play the jack linebacker position. I won't be at nose guard because I'm pushing 290 (pounds) right now. Their scheme is good, and the chances are high that you'll win a national championship. The word of Coach (Nick) Saban is good. If he tells you you're a good player, then you're a good player."
Gilmore says he's focusing more on his upcoming senior season as time ticks down to the kickoff of 2012.
LSU continues to lead for Gilmore
