Top '14 OL visits for Cookout

Late last week, one of the country's best offensive linemen in the class of 2014 visited Clemson for the first time.

OT Steven Moss Profile

Chancellor High School [Fredericksburg, Va.] junior offensive tackle Steven Moss spent two days in Tigertown.

"I was there Friday night for the All In Cookout. Then, Saturday in the early morning, I toured the campus," he said in a recent interview with CUTigers.

What stood out?

"I really liked the weight room. I liked the campus, how clean it was. It wasn't dirty like you get at some colleges. It's pretty spread out, country-wise, compared to USC. It was like a taste of two different things. Clemson is country and USC is city."

Moss spoke with several of the coaches and got to know a few of the current players.

"I got to talk to coach [Dabo] Swinney and his wife. I talked to coach [Robbie] Caldwell and Brent Venables," he said.

"Coach Venables, he was talking to Kendall Fuller. When I walked over, he was like, ‘This is a 2014 offensive tackle.' And he was like, ‘We need this kid on our line.'"

Moss visited South Carolina on Saturday, after his trip to Clemson.

"I liked that visit also. I was with coach Shawn Elliott. He took us on a tour, everything on his own. He took us on a golf cart, just me, him, my mom and my dad, because all the other coaches were out," Moss said. "He showed us all the facilities and took us around the campus."

Clemson, Boston CollegeEast Carolina, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia have offered.

Who leads?

"I don't have any favorites. I like them equally."
