Middleton Favoring Two, Still Open

Gadsden Defensive End Finesse Middleton has plenty of options when it comes to schools actively recruiting him. Right now, he favors two but maintains that several others are still in the mix. Where do the Golden Eagles stand with the talented prospect?

Instead of asking Finesse Middleton which schools he has visited, it would be a shorter list to find out those he hasn't.

Along with a camp at Southern Miss, Middleton has taken in camps at Ole Miss, Tennessee, Mississippi State, and UAB among many others.

The talented prospect is hearing from many but favors two at this point.

"I am still wide open about where I am going to go, but I'd say Louisville and Ole Miss have the lead right now," he said.

"I've been a fan of Louisville since I was growing up and really have always liked that school," he said. "Also, I have a relationship with Coach Strong when he was down in Florida. We had gotten to know each other so when I got that offer from them I was real happy."

Ole Miss was another school that made the offer to Middleton.

"I like the coaches a lot there and the program in general," he said. "I had a great camp there and thought it might be a nice fit for me. They are really up and coming so they are high on my list too."

He also listed Southern Miss as a school that was high on his list.

"I have gotten to know Coach Zo through the process and I really enjoyed my time meeting the coaches at the camp in Birmingham," he said. "Southern Miss has a winning tradition that I like, and they want me to be on the defensive line and could see me coming after the QB in a LB spot as well.

"I know their coaches know how to coach defense, so yeah, they are a school I'm considering as well."

Middleton says he has no idea about a commitment, he wants to take his time and his visits this upcoming school year. For now, he'll be taking a few days to prepare for camp in the fall by just working out and trying to recover from the camp circuit.
