Johnson Coming Back

The Fresno (Calif.) Central four-star cornerback, Johnny Johnson, is almost 100% and ready to start taking some trips...

Fresno (Calif.) Central cornerback Johnny Johnson said that two schools are standing out, and four schools are set for official visits.

"Right now, I don't know yet when I'll decide, or make a decision," said Johnson. "I know I'm going to visit Oklahoma, UCLA, Notre Dame and Washington and the other one is open right now. And my top two are Stanford and UCLA."

Johnson, though, wouldn't say if one school stood out the most.

"I don't have a favorite," said Johnson. "I think I will take the time I need, because at the end of the day, I need to make sure I have seen all of the schools and to make sure I make the best decision."

Johnson said that one school is recruiting him harder than the others.

"It would have to be UCLA and Coach (Demetrice) Martin, that is recruiting me the hardest," said Johnson.

Johnson got his first offer as a sophomore and has had plenty of attention come his way, but he's not gotten tired of it just yet.

"I am enjoying it still, but I also know there will be a time when it isn't fun, and I'll have to be able to talk to the schools, and tell them that I won't be able to come, but as of right now, it's o.k.," said Johnson.

Johnson had a shoulder injury for much of the spring, which he suffered at the Proving Ground Combine.

"I'm almost all the way back," said Johnson. "I'm not all the way back just yet, but I worked out at the DB Guru Camp last weekend and I felt good. Right now, it's all about getting back to 100%."
