"I went to UCF and Vanderbilt," Allen said of his camp performances this summer. "I felt like my performance was much superior to last season do to my weight loss, but I'm still not where I want to be."
Vandy -- "The entire coaching staff is all on the same page, headed in the same direction with a common goal. Their passion for the sport is admirable."
UCF -- "United, in your face, and determined. They know they've got a lot ahead of them in the Big East and you can feel the energy. The spark on the field is there, and it's definitely unlike anything else."
The standout lineman, 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, is waiting patiently for more offers and is ready to make a name for himself as a senior this fall.
"I'm not about to say that coaches are waiting in line to pull the trigger on offering me, but I do know that i've got a lot to prove, and am willing to rise to the occasion."
Allen then talked about what he'll be looking for in a school.
"To this point, I've established myself as a student athlete. I've made sacrifices to football for the IB program, and have had to sacrifice some opportunities academically for football. Hopefully at the next level, everything will be perfect. I'm a firm believer in balance, and that's exactly what I'm looking for out of my collegiate athletic experience."
Allen has lost nearly 50 pounds since last season and has become a legitimate Division 1 prospect along the offensive line. Stay on Scout as we continue to monitor his recruiting process.
