Hungry Douglas Has One Offer

FOX Sports NEXT is in the streets this summer to bring you all the coverage from across the Midlands region. Recently, we caught up with Hightower defensive back Kelsey Douglas from Sugar Land, Texas. He got his first offer this month.

After a solid junior season and a busy summer, Sugar Land (TX) Hightower defensive back Kelsey Douglas finally heard the news that he had been looking for. He performed well at the Louisiana Tech camp and not long after, he made contact.

"About a week after the camp, I got an offer from Louisiana Tech. The coaches want me to play safety and nickel back," Douglas said. "I feel great and blessed. I feel like a monkey is off of my back."

Now the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Douglas will work towards getting more. Schools like North Texas, Missouri, Iowa State and Houston are recruiting him still as he goes into his final season at Hightower.

As a junior, Douglas stated he had 123 tackles, two interceptions and nine pass-break ups.
