FSU offers 2014 ATH

Florida State had this 2014 athlete out of Georgia at camp in June and they offered him a scholarship in July. Get the latest here.

"My coach (Regge Stancil) let me know today (Tuesday) that Florida State offered me a scholarship," Myles Autry told Scout. "It is my fifth offer. I also have offers from Georgia Tech, Penn State, Vanderbilt, and Syracuse."

The offer from FSU did not shock the 2014 athlete out of Norcross, Ga. He has been there this summer, he received a good bit of attention from the coaches at the FSU camp, and he is excited about the offer.

"Coach [D.J.] Eliot recruits my area in Georgia and he pulled me aside after the camp to tell me about my name coming up in the coaches meeting that day. He told me that they liked my game, how they were interested in me, and things like that.

"I think I did well at their camp and I liked it down there. I like the state of Florida and I like the tradition at Florida State. I also like how they run things, the atmosphere there, and their facilities. Their coaches are cool too."

It is too early for this 5-foot-11, 170 pound junior to name a favorite, but he does have interest in the 'Noles.

"I would say I have high interest in them," he said. "They would be one of my top schools right now. I do not have a leader or anything, but I do like them a lot."

Autry is a versatile athlete and he will play running back and slot receiver at Norcross this year after playing cornerback in 2011.
