"I committed to LSU today," said an excited Robinson. "I just felt like the time was right and I just felt real comfortable with everything at LSU."

The three star corner reports that LSU fills the needs he had both athletically and academically.

"You know LSU is one of the top football programs in the country," said Robinson. "Academically they are one of the top programs in the SEC.

"They are graduating 77% of their players which is second to only Vanderbilt in the SEC.

"That's pretty amazing."

Robinson was unable to single out just one highlight of his trip.

"Everything was great," said Robinson. "I just liked everything about it.

"I got to see the school and all of the facilities and everything was great."

Before heading for home, Robinson elected to make Les Miles' day by committing to LSU.

"I told Coach Miles that I was committing and he was real excited," said Robinson. "He jumped up and gave me a big hug and told me congratulations.

"He told me that he was glad that I decided to be a Tiger."

Robinson is the 22nd public commitment towards the 2013 signing class for LSU.

Robinson chose the Tigers over offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Miami and Oklahoma among others.
