"I've been to FIU and FAU and Western Kentucky and USF," Tanner said about his camp experiences.
Tanner, 6-feet and 210 pounds, talked more about each of those camps.
"FIU and FAU both went well for me," he said. "I felt a strong connection with the FAU linebacker coach as well as Coach Dierson recruiting me."
"At USF's SuperBull I had a top five performance out of about 100+ kids. They are still holding on the offer though because of where I am on the the board. I'm the slot behind the last offer for linebackers."
"I just went to Western last weekend I loved it," he said. "It has to my number one school for sure. They are recruiting me the hardest and they have beautiful facilities."
"Academics first, student body support, can I see my self living there for four years, and playing time," he said.
Tanner finished his junior season with 75 tackles, seven sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
As a Prospect: Tanner is a talented high school linebacker prospect who has shown the ability to find the football very well. He can rush the passer off the edge and drop into coverage and make plays behind him. He's active and was one of the top performers on a solid Freedom defense in 2011. He is a legit Division 1 OLB prospect and should start to see some more offers coming his way very soon.
