Junior cornerback Delvon Randall, 5-foot-11, 190-pounds, was as good in coverage as any defensive back in attendance. He currently holds three offers.
"I have offers from Penn State, Rutgers and North Carolina State," Randall stated. "The Penn State offer meant a lot, because I've always liked the school. I went there for camp this summer and loved it. They offered me soon after camp. They like the way I play physical football and the way I play the game."
"We played in a 7on7 at Rutgers and that's when they offered me," he added. "They're recruiting me pretty hard, and I'm looking forward to seeing the campus and meeting the coaches. I've never been to North Carolina State and I think they offered me off my sophomore film. I need to learn more about them."
Randall is also hearing from other BCS schools, and more offers should be headed his way.
"West Virginia hasn't offered me yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing the campus," he explained. "I'm also hearing from Maryland and Pittsburgh, and my coach said there are a few other schools interested."
"I'm looking forward to this season, and I will play both sides of the football," he continued. "We have a great secondary and all four starters are being recruited. I think we have a chance to have a great team this year."
EVALUATION: Randall has the skill set to succeed at cornerback at the next level. He has the strength to jam receivers at the line, but also has the hip recovery needed to turn and run. His ball skills were excellent, showing his time last season at wide receiver. With two seasons of high school remaining, Randall is definitely a player to watch for the Pennsylvania class of 2014.
