Travon McMillian: Sophomore Highlights

Travon McMillian is one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in Virginia. The 2014 C.D. Hylton High (Woodbridge, Va.) standout already has nine scholarship offers. See him in action in this presentation by FOX Sports Next.

Last fall, Travon McMillian had a breakout season. Not surprisingly, numerous college coaching staffs are already pursuing him. McMillian holds scholarship offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Marshall, Boston College, and Illinois. Oregon, Oklahoma, Northwestern, California, and Stanford are also showing interest.

McMillian is a playmaker at quarterback. Although he does not have prototypical size, the 6-foot, 195-pound signal-caller really knows how to play the position and is a great athlete. McMillian beats defenses with his arm and his feet. He has good pocket awareness and makes good decisions. The 2014 prospect shows good accuracy and arm strength. Although some schools have talked about playing him somewhere other than quarterback, McMillian said he would prefer to continue to play the position in college. If he continues to develop, it may be hard for schools to play him anywhere but under center.
