Florida S gets first offer

Indiana became the first school to offer this Florida safety on Tuesday and they may be picking up his verbal commitment soon.

"My mom came home from out of town and she checked the mail and that is when she found the letter from Indiana with the offer in it," Robert Miller told Scout.

"It was a written offer telling me that they wanted to offer me a four year athletic scholarship to Indiana. It was very exciting for me and my mom."

Indiana had been showing a lot of interest lately, but the offer still surprised Miller.

"I had no offers, so yes, it was unexpected. They have been sending me a lot of mail, so they had my attention, so now they have my attention even more."

The 6-foot-1, 192 pound safety does not know a lot about Indiana, but he may be a Hoosier soon.

"I am really thinking about verbally committing to them," said Miller. "They are a good school that plays in the Big Ten and I know they like me a lot. My interest in them right now is pretty high."

Miller plans to talk to Indiana coaches on the phone in the near future.

Florida State and Wisconsin are also showing interest in this Coral Springs (Fla.) J.P. Taravella star athlete.

Miller is currently ranked as a three-star safety on Scout.
