Terry Taking His Time

Elk Grove (Calif.) Pleasant Grove defensive tackle Nick Terry plans on taking official visits before making his college decision…

Elk Grove (Calif.) Pleasant Grove defensive tackle Nick Terry has been surprised by the attention he has received this spring and plans on taking his time in making a college decision.

"It really was a surprise, it didn't click until the first offer," said Terry. "Then coaches started coming by every day, it was overwhelming at first."

Schools are recruiting the 6'4" 270lbs prospect exclusively for the defensive line, with most targeting Terry as a defensive tackle.

"I just going to finish my senior season and then decide," said Terry. "I am not going to rush to make a decision."

Terry was able to take a pair of unofficial visits this spring, to Oregon State and Nevada, but is putting the majority of his focus on upcoming official visits.

"I am going to take an official for sure to Washington State, Oregon State and Nevada," said Terry. "Those are the places I have the most interest."

Terry holds offers from the three programs mentioned above and could add another Northwest program to his list.

"Boise State has been talking to me for little bit," said Terry. "They wanted me to come to camp, but I couldn't make it. They sent me a message letting me know they will be watching me this season."

While Terry isn't close to making his final decision, he does know what criteria he will use to compare the programs.

"The two most important things for me are to play early and the location/academics of the school," said Terry.
