Rumors swirl about Ramsey

Jalen Ramsey committed to USC in July and he remains a strong Trojan commitment despite the rumors swirling about him.

"I don't know where this stuff started about Jalen Ramsey flipping to Florida," Jalen's father, Lamont Ramsey told Scout Saturday night. "Everybody started talking about him switching his commitment to Florida Saturday morning and that is not true. He is still solid to USC."

Ramsey's teammate, Max Staver is committed to Florida and the Gators have turned things up a little since the four-star corner committed to USC.

"It went quiet for about a week, then Florida, Washington, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee really picked things back up. Florida has sent some mail, some messages on Facebook, and they asked Jalen to call, so he did.

"It seems like as soon as he did that, rumors started out there. Florida is a school that would like for him to visit officially and that is about it. Jalen has not visited Florida before, so he may consider a visit, but he was going to take official visits to schools anyway.

"All he has done is talk to them on the phone, but he is still 100-percent committed to USC."

The star out of Brentwood (Tn.) Brentwood Academy called the USC coaches to let them know what was going on.

Ramsey is still debating whether or not he wants to take official visits to other schools after seeing what a phone call can lead to.

At this time though, USC fans have nothing to worry about according to the father, "Jalen is very strong to USC."
