Arvanitis Has Offers

The recruitment of 6-foot, 235 pound senior Riley Arvanitis has heated up. Check out what schools have offered the fullback as well as who he's now hearing from.

Lake Central (IN) fullback Riley Arvanitis has picked up three offers since the end of his junior season.

"I have offers from Indiana State, North Dakota State, Iowa State and Ferris State. I've been hearing from Western Kentucky; I talk to them a few times a week every week. They're waiting to see my first 3 games. Indiana and Iowa also want to see my first couple of games."

This summer, the 6-foot, 235 pounder has traveling across the Midwest trying to get his name out there.

"I've attended a lot of camps this summer. I tried to keep all them within eight hours of my house. I went to Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Cincinnati and lot of satellite camps. I did pretty well at most of them. Towards the end it I began getting tired because it was kind of a grind but I always did my best."

When it comes to when Arvanitis would like to make his commitment, in a perfect world it would be sooner rather than later.

"I would like to commit before the season; however, there are a lot of schools that say they want to see my first games. I would like to get it over soon, but I also want to be patient, so more realistically I'll commit after the season. That will be tough but it's in my best interest."

When he is ready to make his decision, the FB knows what the most important factor for him will be.

"I really want to get a good education. You can only play football for four or five years. Want to get all I can out of that school. Whether that's education or making friends. I just want to get the next part of my life started."
