Grading the UGA Commitments

Scout saw five future Georgia Bulldogs play live over the weekend and we grade their performances here.

J.J. Green | CB | 5-8/180 | Camden County
Scouting Report: Green was what everyone that had seen him in the past thought he would be in this game. He was making plays from different positions in different ways. He had close to 100 yards rushing, he caught a touchdown pass, and he was very good in coverage at cornerback. He is very quick, he is shifty, and he could be used in a lot of ways in Athens.
Grade: A

Brandon Kublanow | OG | 6-2/295 | Walton
Scouting Report: He is known as 'Bull' and 'The Finisher' and he showed why on Saturday. He really finished his blocks well, he knocked a kid's helmet off early on, and he held his blocks as well as anyone in the Dome Saturday. He moved to tackle this year, so he has to face quicker ends, and that is not his strength. He is better as a run blocker than in pass protection.
Grade: B

Tray Matthews | S | 6-0/200 | Newnan
Scouting Report: Matthews was all over the field against Marietta Friday night. He blocked a punt in the first quarter, then scored a touchdown out of the 'Wildcat' position when they got the ball. He caught close to 10 passes, he had a couple of huge hits, and he really played fast. This was the best I have seen Matthews play in person.
Grade: A+

Shaun McGee | DE | 6-3/235 | Brookwood
Scouting Report: McGee showed a lot of athleticism in this game. He chased the ball well, he made a couple of plays in space, and he showed good quickness in short space. He needs to work on getting off the blocks and using his length more at the end position. After seeing him in this game, I like him more as an outside linebacker in UGA's system.
Grade: B-

Brice Ramsey | QB | 6-3/202 | Camden County
Scouting Report: I think Dean Legge said it best Saturday night... Legge called Ramsey's performance "efficient". He finished 6-8 for 132 yards and three touchdowns passes. He had a fourth one dropped in the corner of the end zone as well. Ramsey is more athletic than many think, he has a smooth delivery, he threw with great touch, and his way on point in the accuracy department. What may have impressed me more than anything was the way he finished the plays out. He made the defenses respect him.
Grade: A+
