Denson Solid, Will Take Visits

2013 offensive guard Ira Denson had a speedy rise to fame over the summer after a dominant performance at the Orlando Nike Football Camp. The now Florida State commit says other schools have come after him, but his commitment is as solid as they come. The 6-foot-4, 320-pound Madison County (Madison, FL) standout still plans to take some visits this fall.

Ira Denson says it doesn't matter which schools come after him, his mind is made up.

"I love Florida State, I'm going to Florida State. A lot of different schools try to talk to me, but I'm FSU bound," Denson said.

"Florida was talking to me, but since I told them I was strictly Florida State, they laid off."

Denson visited the Noles for their season-opener against Murray State and said the team looks very good. He doesn't have any dates set for officials yet, but he hopes to take several this fall.

I'm taking visits to Florida State, South Carolina, Tennessee, places like that," he said.

"It's just experiencing the process. I'm going to Florida State regardless."

Denson and his Madison County team came out strong in their first game of the season with a 49-7 victory over Suwannee. This season, the senior lineman will be playing on both sides of the ball.

"We just switched it this week, I play both ways now, I start at right guard and nose guard now," he said.

"Just to stop people from running at us up front, we have bigger bodies on the d-line. Offense is going to take care of business, I love offense. That's my home."
