Brown close on official visits

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey defensive back Daquawn Brown has yet to set up any of his official visits but has a good idea of which schools he will trip to.

Daquawn Brown is a talented cover corner in what is a very deep year for corners out west this year. He has good speed and is one of the most physical corners in the region and plays with a definite edge to him.

On the recruiting front, Brown is starting to narrow his list down a bit and listed the five schools he plans to visit.

"My coach is setting up an October visit to Boise State in October," Brown said. "I also want to visit Washington, UCLA, Arizona State and Hawaii. Hawaii is one of my most recent offers and I'm looking forward to checking them out.

"I camped at Washington, ASU has been recruiting me hard for a long time and was one of my first offers and I've been to UCLA a number of times and I like the changes I'm seeing there. The Husky camp was great and I really clicked with all the coaches. I like all these schools a lot and I don't have a leader right now."

Brown reiterated that he plans to attend the same college as his good friend and Dons teammate Jayme Otomewo.

"Yep, for sure, were a package deal," Brown said. "We're going to try and take a lot of our visits together and then we'll sit down and figure out where the best place is for the both of us."
