Tunsil's Top Two

Laremy Tunsil has every college option he could dream of, and while he admits a decision won't come anytime soon, there are two schools that lead the race for his skills. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound offensive tackle plans to take five official visits and announce on Signing Day. Get the latest on which schools will host Tunsil for a visit – and which schools won't – right here.

The five schools in good position to land Laremy Tunsil for an official remain Alabama, Georgia, USC, Ole Miss, and LSU. The Columbia (Lake City, FL) standout admits that the Tide and the Dawgs lead the race.

"Right now, I have a top two. I have Georgia and Alabama," Tunsil said.

"Alabama is a national championship team and Georgia is a finesse team. And the playbook, that's the main thing."

Throughout the process, Tunsil has maintained the playbook that has him pulling is a must, but the biggest deciding factor will be that bond with the staff.

"I'm going to have to have a relationship with one of the coaches," he said.

"(I'm closest with the coaches at) Georgia. They get after it, but they joke around too."

Florida Head Coach Will Muschamp was on hand Thursday night to scout Tunsil as Columbia fell to Gainesville (FL) High School 17-14.

"It's special, he said he's the only person that's scouting me at games, so that's kind of nice," Tunsil said.

The Gators are not on Tunsil's official visit list, but he says they shouldn't be ruled out.

"I live right down the street from Florida, I can go there anytime. I'd say I have a top three, but right now I have a top two, so they stand in the top three. They're at the third spot," he said.

While Tunsil admits Florida is recruiting him the hardest, he says he's somewhat put recruiting on the back burner. He gets tons of mail, but he throws it all in the box. When coaches call, he just let's the phone ring.

A decision won't be in the books until Signing Day, but Tunsil has continued to narrow his list. He says Florida State and USC are both out of the running. He's just not a fan of the Seminole program and the Trojans are just too far away.
