Colleges Making the Wright Call

Recently, we caught up with Rosenberg (TX) Terry running back Eugene Wright after a 47-36 win over Dulles. He had solid numbers in the win and there are several coaches fully aware of his skills…

After back-to-back solid performances so far this season, Rosenberg (TX) Terry running back Eugene Wright. In his latest performance which helped Terry to a 47-36 victory over Dulles, Wright had 167 yards and two scores..

"I was being patient. I knew they would be keying on me since I had a big game last week," Wright said. "I just stayed focus and let the blocks happen and broke open."

And that he did. The game stayed close for its duration and when Rangers needed a play the 5-foot-9, 167-pound Wright was doing just that.

On the next level, it is likely that he will play a slot receiver or return specialist, according to Wright. So far, it's Kansas State, Virginia, Boise State and Texas Tech that have expressed real interest. But with Wright focus on the current season, he is not quite sure where things stand as far as his recruitment. 

"I have some offers now, but my coach has all of that. I know that there are more schools, but I have to get with my coach," Wright said.
