QB: Arkansas will come out strong

Tyler Cogswell is a standout quarterback prospect from American Heritage High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Tyler Cogswell talked about the start of his senior season.

"We are 1-1 and took a tough loss to Bolles on Friday," Cogswell said. "I am playing pretty good but there's always room to improve."

Cogswell, 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, committed to Arkansas earlier this year and remains solid with that decision. He talked about their season so far.

"I think they're off to a rocky start after that upset (Saturday)," he said. "But they're going to come out strong vs Alabama this week."

Cogswell always liked the opportunity that presented itself there.

"I'm just going to come in there and compete right away and the coaches expect me to do that," he said.

No other schools have continued recruiting him since his commitment.

"Nope," he said. "Nothing's happened ever since I committed," he said.

The talented quarterback prospect finished his junior season with 1,833 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 picks. He also scored three rushing touchdowns.

As a Prospect: The first thing that stands out is Cogswell already has ideal size for a major college quarterback prospect. He has a live arm and made a lot of very good throws on the field as a junior last season. He understands the game very well and his best days should be ahead of him.
