BEST TEAM: St. Thomas Aquinas
After not performing to their expectations a year ago, St. Thomas is back in 2012. The Raider's have already beaten a pair of South Florida's best in Columbus and Cypress Bay and they are deep and talented at every position on the field. STA competes in 7A and thus far they have a stranglehold on the no. 2 spot in the state, just behind Manatee (who is ranked top 5 in the country). The two could meet in the state semi-finals as they have multiple times in the past.
Top 2013 Prospect Performance: John O'Korn, RB, St. Thomas Aquinas,
Quarterback John O'Korn led this team to their second BIG win in as many weeks. He did throw an early INT, but made up for it with a huge hit on the player that intercepted it(in the open field). He settled down considerably after and made some great throws in rhythm and was a dominating force running the football. The Houston commit has great size(6-3) and is a much better athlete than he is given credit for. There is all upside in this young man.
Top 2014 Prospect Performance: Derrick Tindal, CB, Boyd Anderson
The next great Boyd Anderson appears to be junior Derrick Tindal. At 5-10 he is a smooth, confident player with plus hips and ball skills. Like his brother, Corey, Tindal is a dynamic athlete and looks to be their top recruit for the next cycle. He is a very confident player.
Top 2016 Prospect Performance: Darnell Solomon, WR, Hollywood Hills
Freshmen wide receiver Darnell Solomon stole the show for Hills. At 6-2 he already has ideal size and he essentially made all the plays in this game for Hills. We were impressed with his toughness, hands, and burst and expect great things from this young man. We expect him to also play Safety down the road(perhaps LB).
