Interest Building for Thompson

It was reported earlier this week that Burien (Wash.) Kennedy lineman Desmound Thompson had landed a Boise State offer. While Thompson denies the offer, he does feel the Broncos and other programs are close to pulling the trigger.

"I don't have an offer yet, they have been talking to me and want to see more film," said Thompson. "Washington State has talked to me as well; they want to see more film too."

At 6'6" 260lbs, Thompson could find himself on either the offensive or defensive lines in college.

"They haven't really talked to me about a position yet, I am fine playing on both sides," said Thompson. "I am playing right tackle this year on offense and defensive tackle and end on defense."

Thompson would like to take visits to some of the schools showing interest, but that might have to wait until after the season.

"I don't know that I'll be able to make it out during the season," said Thompson.

While Thompson is encouraged by the recent boost in attention, he is mainly focused on doing well in school and Kennedy football.

"Academics are going well, I try and keep it around a 3.5," said Thompson. "I think potential wise we can go as far as we want. We have to prepare, because we can lose any week. So we just try and put up as many points as possible."
