2014 Standout Loves Latest Visit To Mizzou

The Missouri Tigers had a ton of high school football prospects on hand for their historic first SEC conference game. One of those was a highly regarded, heavily recruited athlete from the class of 2014 who shares his thoughts on his latest unofficial visit to Mizzou.

On Saturday, 2014 WR prospect Dominique Booth  6'1"  195  Indianapolis (IN) Pike took his second unofficial visit to Missouri, as he and his father drove over and watched the Georgia-Missouri game.  The Booths had previously visited Missouri in April, and once again, the talented WR had good things to say about Mizzou.

Booth took a few minutes to visit with ShowMeMizzou.com, as he talked about his visit to Missouri and updated us on his recruitment.

"(The visit) was good!   There were no negatives, really,"   said Booth.   "I mean, (Missouri) didn't win, but you know, I saw a lot of positive things about how they run their offense and the play calling, stuff like that.   I was loving it when I was there.  I love the atmosphere and everything."

Booth has developed a very good relationship with the Missouri coaching staff.  He's especially comfortable with Coach Ford, who is well-known to Booth and his father.

Since this was Booth's second unofficial visit to Missouri this year, I asked him about his interest level in the Tigers?

"I'm actually going back to Missouri in a few weeks,"   replied Booth.   "I'm going back for Alabama."

Booth went on to say that he's pretty high on Missouri.  He explained why.

"I really am (high on Missouri),"   explained Booth.   "I mean, (Missouri's) offense, obviously is appealing to a receiver.   I don't have any problems with their offense.  They don't have any problem throwing the ball."

"(Missouri's) always going to have quarterbacks,"    continued Booth.   "I like the stability of the coaching staff.  So, I'm looking forward to all of that.   There's just a lot to look forward to there.   They're in the SEC.  That's a big plus.  The head coach is a real good guy.  Then the atmosphere, the fans, everybody loves Missouri around there. Then there's the previous connection that I have with Coach Ford from when I was younger."

I asked Booth if he has a list of his top schools?

"(Missouri's ) high on my list,"  said Booth.   He also named a few other schools, including California, Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Tennessee.  "I can't remember all of them off the top of my head."

He has offers from California, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Purdue, and Wisconsin, in addition to Missouri.

Booth would like to make his college choice near the end of his junior season.  He explained his reason for wanting to make an early commitment.

"I want to be the early go to man,"   explained Booth.    "I want to form the class, help out with recruiting, and get the right players in."

I'll have more on this talented player later.
