Corn Elder To Spend Saturday On The Flats

Ensworth HS (TN) athlete Cornelius Elder has schools recruiting him for both football and basketball. Elder will be visiting one of those schools this weekend and will met with both the football and the basketball coaches.

Cornelius Elder currently has 12 football offers. Georgia Tech is one of those schools and he'll be in Atlanta this coming weekend to watch them play Miami. "Coach (Andy) McCollum and I have been talking and he wants me to come down for a visit." Corn will be making the trip with a friend and his mom.

At the suggestion of Coach McCollum, his mom, and his high school coaches, Elder will be talking to Tech basketball coach Brian Gregory. At the present time though, Elder only plans to play one sport in college.

Five schools make up Elder's list of schools that are recruiting him the hardest. "Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Nebraska, and now Georgia Tech are recruiting me the hardest."

Most schools are recruiting Elder to play running back or slot receiver. "That is one thing that I will want to see at Georgia Tech. I want to know where they are recruiting me to play."

Elder has plans to take all five of his official visits before making a decision. "I'd like to wait and see what visits I can make before deciding on a school." Elder is not sure who will get the official visits.

When making his college choice, Elder will be looking at the coaching staffs and the relationship he has with those coaches. "I want it to feel at home when I'm on campus."
