Then Thorson added one more Big Ten offer Monday.
"Illinois offered me," Thorson said.
That isn't it for the 6-foot-4, 200 pound quarterback -- he received another offer Wednesday.
"And tonight Northern Illinois offered me," Thorson said.
Both schools he likes, for very specific reasons.
"I like the tradition of Illini football," Thorson said. "I also like the proximity to home."
He continued, "I enjoyed my time with the coaches this summer and I know Reilly O'Toole and he has had a good experience there."
Thorson also reflected on his offer from Northern Illinois.
"They are the MAC Champions," Thorson said. "I like that they are building brand new facilities, the proximity to home, and that I got along well with the coaches."
