Ohio Lineman Looking To Visit MSU

Michigan State is sure to be looking for offensive linemen in the 2014 recruiting class and one who is already hearing from the Spartans talks about his interest.

This has been a busy week for Middletown (Ohio) Lakota East offensive lineman Jarrett LaRubbio as he picked up his first scholarship offer from Pittsburgh.

While 6-foot-5, 265-pound LaRubbio only camped with the Panthers and Indiana, he's hearing from several programs.

"I'm hearing from Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina State, Northwestern, West Virginia, Iowa and Michigan State," said LaRubbio.

Who is LaRubbio been in contact with?

"I spoke with the coach that recruits my area last year," said LaRubbio. "His name is coach (Harlon) Barnett. He asked that I send them my film and hopefully I can get up there for a game."

Surprised by the early attention, LaRubbio says the goal is to stay focused.

"Since the season started I've been really focused on just playing," said LaRubbio.

Spartan Digest will check back with LaRubbio if he plans to make a visit to East Lansing this season.
