Tate Not In a Rush

The Federal Way (Wash.) receiver, Mike Tate, won't be rushing to a decision any time soon...

Federal Way (Wash.) receiver Mike Tate has six offers, but with the rest of his senior season to play, doesn't see a reason to rush to a decision.

"I'm considering all six of my choices right now," said Tate. "And most coaches are like ‘play out your senior season, and we'll talk more with you after."

Tate has offers from Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Montana State, Eastern Washington and Portland State.

Last week, Portland State stopped by Federal Way to watch him in their blowout win of Graham-Kapowsin.

"It was nice to have them there and to play well in front of them," said Tate. "I'm definitely considering them."

Tate doesn't have any official visits set yet, but is certain he'll take them.

"I don't have any official visits set up yet but I do plan on taking all five of them after the season," said Tate.

Tate said all of his attention has come as a receiver.

"I can't see myself playing defense in college, my heart is on offense," said Tate.
