But Tyner was bound to have a "down" game, considering the week before, he rushed for nearly 650 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. In this one, he "only" ran for 247 yards, on a workmanlike 41 carries, and scored two touchdowns.
Tyner started strong, getting 50 yards on the first drive on seven carries, before hitting somewhat of a lull, including a fumble, and two stops on fourth and short. He got stronger in the second half, clearly showing he gets better as the games go on. He did fumble again in the second half, but it was largely because of how bad the toss was to him. In fact, his first touchdown, he took a terrible toss that he couldn't grab, picked it up off the ground, reversed field, and weaved to a 16-yard touchdown.
In the fourth quarter, he gave Aloha breathing room, with another tackle-breaking run for 41 yards, where he showed his elite speed once he got in the open field, for a touchdown.
One hangup with Tyner is he doesn't consistently break tackles, he went down a little too easy for guy of his speed and size, but stayed up more later in the game. He also didn't explode through the holes like you wanted to see.
That said, he's excellent in the open field, once he got into wide open space, no one, at full speed, could catch him.
