Florida WR sets first official visit

Dantwaun ONeal is a talented wide receiver prospect from Deland High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Dantwaun ONeal is one of the top wide receiver prospects in central Florida this year. At 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, ONeal has offers from Georgia Tech and FIU and just set up his first visit.

"Yes in October I will be visiting Georgia Tech and I just talk to Coach Owens," ONeal said. "I'm not sure of the exact date."

ONeal was able to watch Georgia Tech's offensive shootout against Miami last weekend.

"I did and it was a crazy game," he said. "I thought it was exciting. Their offense, they actually threw it a lot and that caught my eye."

In addition to Tech, another BCS school has been actively recruiting him lately as well.

"Auburn wanted me to go to there game two weeks ago," he said. "I'm blessed and hopefully will get many more (offers)."

As a Prospect: ONeal is a big target at 6-foot-3 and he runs pretty well. He comes from a well-coached program and could develop into a solid possession receiver at the college level.
