Sunshine State Loaded Again

California, Texas and Georgia all have top tier high school football players year in and year out but the state of Florida appears to be in a league all its own. Seven players to keep an eye on from the state of Florida for the class of 2014.

Artavis Scott:

"My strengths is just being able to attack the ball," Scott told Scott is very athletic and could end up on either side of the ball at the next level. Scott is from Tarpon Springs (FL) East Lake High School and plays wide out and defensive back. He is 6'0 and 180-pounds and has early verbal offers from teams such as Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, South Florida and Vanderbilt to name a few.

Vincent Jackson:

Jackson is a 6'3 237 pound tight end who has 36 tackles through four games. He has played a number of positions including Middle Linebacker, Outside Linebacker, Tight End and Defensive end. Jackson also has six sacks on the season with 12 tackles for loss through his first four games.

Jackson is from Tampa (FL) Jesuit High School and has offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia, Miami, Missouri State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Rutgers and South Florida to name a few.

Richard Yeargin:

"My stats are looking good right now and our record is 4-0. I have been playing nonstop outside linebacker and all special teams and a little wingback. I am 6'4 and 210-pounds right now. I have the same offers but things can change in a hurry because they are heating up."

Early offers for Yeargin include Clemson, Wake Forest and Wisconsin. Yeargin checks in from Hollywood (FL) Chaminade High School.

Chase Litton

"I have 719 yards passing nine touchdowns and two interceptions with 67 rushing and two touchdowns," Litton told

Litton talked about his strengths and the recruiting game.

"My arm strength and pocket presence. I love the recruiting process and know what more offers will come. LSU and South Florida have offered." Litton is from Tampa (FL) Wharton High School and is 6'6 and 200-pounds.

Josh Allen:

"I've had over 50 pancakes, six sacks, five tackles for loss. I have played offensive tackle on offense and defense starting both ways and definitely offensive guard is my strength, I'm just not a big tackle but I also like the defensive side of the ball. My weight right now is 280-pounds and height around 6'2 or 6'3. Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, South Florida, Ohio, North Carolina are showing interest. I have lots of letters at home. I am also leaning towards Alabama, Tennessee and Louisville."

Allen is from Jacksonville (FL) University School.

Devin Abraham:

"I have one interception, 15 tackles, two catches for 12 yards and we are 2-1 right now. I have played wide receiver and safety and the strength of my game is speed and ability to read plays. I have offers from South Florida, Iowa State, Middle Tennessee and South Alabama. I am getting interest from all the SEC, ACC, Big 10 and Pac 10."

Abraham is also from Tarpon Springs (FL) East Lake High School and is 5'10 and 170-pounds.

Jacob McCrary:

"I have five catches for 125 yards, two touchdowns, three punt returns and our record is 1-2. Positions played are linebacker, wide receiver, running back and corner. The strengths of my game is making big plays. I am 6'0 and 188-pounds. I have new offers from Boise State, Ohio State, Alabama, LSU and Interest from Oregon and Miami."

McCrary is from Miami (FL) Coral Reef High School.
