Vanderbilt offers Alexander

2014 CB Terrence Alexander from John Curtis Christian landed his fifth offer from the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Terrence Alexander now has offers from Tennessee, Tulane, Stanford, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

"Vanderbilt had been recruiting me hard for awhile," Alexander said. "I've been talking to their coaches on Facebook and the phone. They send me handwritten letters.

"Coach (Brent) Pry said their staff went over my film and loved it. They really liked my film and talked about how most of their secondary is from Louisiana. Two of Vanderbilt's corners and a safety are from Louisiana, and they want to get more cover guys."

Alexander was excited to get his fifth offer.

"It's great to get another SEC offer from a school with the academics of Vanderbilt," he said. "I want to get up there and visit and get an impression of the school.

"I talked to Coach (Jethro) Franklin from Miami for 20 minutes. He wants me to visit. I've also been talking to Cincinnati, and I got a handwritten letter from UCLA."

Alexander also enjoyed speaking with Vandy grad assistant LaMar Morgan.

He hopes to visit Stanford, UCLA, Vandy, Miami and Tennessee in the near future.

"I heard the atmosphere at Tennessee is crazy," he said.

John Curtis is ranked No. 2 in the nation. Alexander has an interception for the Patriots, who rotate a large group of DBs (Hunter Dale, Richard Allen, Prine Lewis, Mattrell McGraw, Brandon Porter, Jacolby Cooper and Alexander).
