Latest On Donovan Munger

Shaker Heights rolled to an easy win over Cuyahoga Falls Saturday afternoon, led by four-star lineman Donovan Munger. The big man dominated on both sides of the football, and discussed recruiting with FoxSportsNext after the game.

Shaker Heights pushed their record to 5-1 with a convincing win over Cuyahoga Falls Saturday in Ohio football action. Two-way lineman Donovan Munger dominated the game on both sides of the football.

Munger, 6-foot-3, 290-pounds, is a four-star defensive line prospect, and one of the top overall prospects in the Midwest. He currently holds over 20 offers, including Ohio State, Notre Dame, Auburn, Georgia and Northwestern.

"I'm in the process of trying to set up visits right now," Munger stated. "I was at West Virginia on an unofficial visit last week for the Maryland game, and really liked what I saw. I'm interested in West Virginia, and they were the first school to offer me. I might go back for an official visit, but I'm not sure yet. I like the school a lot."

"I'm planning on going to Ohio State this week for the Nebraska game on an unofficial visit," he added. "We play on Saturday a lot, so I haven't been there for a game yet. I speak to Coach (Mike) Vrabel and Coach (Stan) Drayton fairly often. They keep telling me they need to get me and my mom down there for a game."

While Munger is not totally certain of where he will take his five official visits, he does have his first one planned.

"I will be going to UCLA to see them play USC, and that's the only official visit I have planned," he informed. "I don't have any other official visits set up yet. I would say I might be visiting Nebraska for an official. Those coaches are from Ohio, and I like those guys a lot. They also have a bunch of Ohio guys on the roster, so I like them a lot."

"I'm also considering Ohio State for an official, and they're definitely high on my list," he said. "Michigan State is a school I like a lot, but they haven't really been talking to me much. I will most likely take my other official visits after my season. I'm hoping to make my decision in December. I don't want any big deal, so I won't be waiting until Signing Day at all."

Munger talked about how his senior season is going for him on the football field.

"Our team is getting better every week, and that makes me happy, seeing the guys working so hard," Munger said. "I would rate my play about a seven, to be honest. I think I can be better using my hands, and doing everything better. I am staying lower this year, and that has made me a better player."

"I'm a guy that's going to go hard to the whistle, and that is what I'm proud of," he added. "I like playing both ways, and I'm willing to do whatever my team needs from me to win football games. I'm playing faster than last year, and I'm definitely more explosive."
